 WHAT IS NEIGHBORNET?

NeighborNet is what we call the weekly gatherings of youth at their masjid/mosque or community space that makes up the local chapter of Young Muslims. These gatherings provide a social ‘network of neighbors’, hence the name, and give young Muslim women between the ages of 13 to 26 a healthy, relatable, and inclusive Islamic environment in which to develop an understanding of their faiths, their identities as Muslim Americans, and amazing role models to depend on.

WHAT MAKES YOUNG MUSLIMS SO SPECIAL IS THIS CONCEPT EMBEDDED WITHIN OUR PHILOSOPHY;
FOR THE YOUTH, BY THE YOUTH.

Every Young Muslim’s NeighborNet is run by youth. Every member of our organization, and every member of our leadership are between the ages of 13 to 26. Our NeighborNets are relevant spaces for our youth to grow, because they are made by the youth.
